The continued Russian aggression against Ukraine and relentless strikes on civilian infrastructure demand decisive action. Allowing Ukraine to use donated weapons to strike legitimate military targets inside Russia would significantly degrade Russia's capacity to wage war and inflict further damage. This measured response, in accordance with international law and Ukraine's right to self-defense, could shift the momentum and hasten an end to the violence and humanitarian suffering. Bold decisions are required to protect Ukrainian cities and children from Russia's indiscriminate bombardment and to uphold principles of sovereignty and territorial integrity. Delays in weapons deliveries hinder Ukraine's ability to effectively defend itself. Lifting restrictions on strike capabilities into Russia's rear areas is a crucial step to preserve Ukraine's momentum from the Kursk incursion and increase pressure for a negotiated settlement.
