Vote YES on AB452 It's my understanding that NV Energy passes unexpected spikes in energy costs along to Nevada’s families and businesses (and protects shareholders from any risk). These types of practices make our electricity bills unpredictable, with fees inevitably increasing. It's my understanding that AB 452 would direct the Public Utilities Commission of Nevada to investigate this practice and help NV Energy design an equitable system where the utility, consumers, and shareholders share the burden. This would help protect consumers from higher than necessary prices and unchecked utility company spending. If NV Energy is going to be allowed a utility monopoly, then there is a need for improving the 'Checks & Balances' system currently in place to help shield customers from unequitable practices.
