Voters Don't Want The Savanah River Site Data Center!

To: Gov. McMaster, Sen. Massey, Rep. Oremus

From: A verified voter in North Augusta, SC

September 1

President Donald Trump on Monday stressed his strong support for controversial data centers, a key issue ahead of midterm elections. "The only reason that communities throughout the U.S.A. should not want Data Centers is if they want to end up being backwards and poor. If they want to be successful and rich, with far lower taxes and jobs all over the place, let Data Reign," Once again, Donald Trump is out of touch with American voters, and showing total disregard for what we want in this country. Voters on both sides of the aisle have made it abundantly clear that we oppose data centers in our communities. Some don't like that they increase energy prices, some the noise and destruction of land, while others oppose the AI takeover. No matter the reason, we are joined in this opposition, and yet Trump is clearly ignoring us. The fact that he has been flagrantly taking part in insider trading during this term makes me question if he has a personal financial stake in this debate that he is protecting, instead of the American publicist interests. Republicans control SC state politics, so this one is on your party. It is one unifying issue that you could get passed, with voter support. If you don't, there is only one party to blame. It's time to stop protecting Big Tech interests and start protecting the interests of the communities you were elected to serve!
