If we want to promote business in the US, fees added to the use of credit and debit card purchases are a barrier. America is being taken back 50 years. I now have to fill my wallet with cash in order to avoid paying fees at point of sale. If the companies that provide these services cannot make a profit on the margins and timings of transfers, they can get out of the business. Businesses should not have to pay for credit card services and these fees certainly should not be passed on to the general public in any case. Small businesses are doing credit card companies a favor by promoting their project. State and Federal government should organize this infrastructure for the good of all, customers and business interests. Please make it illegal to add a credit card surcharge to purchases in Ohio and in the whole of the United States. Please make it illegal for credit card companies and device companies to charge fees for the device that is promoting credit card services. Credit card companies should provide the device and the service. If they cannot turn a profit, get out of the business. I am not paying for it. Less purchases are now being made for this reason. Your legislature needs to act on this.
