I urge you to firmly oppose Trump's choice of Kash Patel as the next FBI Director. Patel has spread disinformation and distorted intelligence about Russian interference in the 2016 election for political gain. His involvement in efforts to discredit the Russia investigation raises serious doubts about his ability to lead the FBI objectively and maintain the agency's independence from partisan politics. Appointing someone so deeply embroiled in undermining faith in our elections would severely compromise the FBI's integrity and credibility. The Director must be someone of unimpeachable character committed to upholding democratic norms. Patel's conduct disqualifies him from this critical role. I strongly urge you to reject his nomination.
