Trump's actions, along with his recent statement via Truth that read "He who saves his Country does not violate any Law," are a direct betrayal of his oath of office. Cutting funding for initiatives that promote human rights, protect activists and dissidents, and safeguard electoral integrity undermines America's global leadership and core democratic values. By halting democracy assistance to fragile nations and putting experts focused on combating election misinformation on leave, the administration is abandoning vital commitments. This damages US credibility as a defender of freedom worldwide and creates vulnerabilities that hostile actors could exploit. Defending democracy should be a paramount priority, not an expendable agenda item. I urge you to push for the immediate restoration of these critical programs and the reinstatement of personnel dedicated to this mission. Upholding democratic principles at home and championing them abroad is essential for national security and America's standing on the global stage.
