Defunding ICE and CBP (and shutting them down) is the only path forward now
To: Sen. Booker, Sen. Kim, Rep. Kean

I have great concern about the hunger strikes at Delaney Hall in New Jersey, Desert View in Southern California, and other ICE facilities across the country. The conditions in these detention centers are unacceptable. What’s happening to inmates in them is horrific. I find it outrageous that we are even considering giving ICE and CBP more money when captives in their concentration camps are literally starving themselves to draw attention to inhumane conditions. Congress has oversight over these facilities, ICE, and CBP. These detention centers need to be shut down and ICE and CBP need to be defunded and the perpetrators investigated and held accountable. Please do everything you can to bring attention and action to this issue.
