Clackamas County shouldn't have to stand alone. Oregon should stand strong together to take care of those of our neighbors who need it, to the best of our ability. Oregon shouldn't have to stand alone EITHER, but that's a letter for Congress and the President. Please find ways to extend funding to SNAP recipients as much as the available funds will permit. Letting people go hungry is unacceptable. Yes, the federal government should be stepping up. But if they don't or won't, then the state and local governments must, in cooperation with each other if possible. Please. Help take care of Oregonians.
