We are writing to demand that you oppose HR 1. This House Rule forces states to absorb new SNAP costs, leaving them with impossible choices: cut education, public health, Medicaid, or infrastructure, raise taxes, or reduce SNAP access. The Congressional Budget Office estimates some states could leave SNAP entirely. Your constituents desperately need every bit of help that they can get to survive today’s current costs for food, gas, electricity, housing, medical care and more. Oppose H.R. 1!!
