I am horrified by the violence in Minnesota caused by the immigration enforcement effort, "Operation Metro Surge." ICE and Border Control have terrorized the people of Minneapolis and St. Paul to the point where people are afraid to leave their homes, and schools and businesses have closed or reduced hours. In the aftermath of all this, two brave Americans, Renee Nicole Good and Alex Pretti, are dead. Executed by government officials for the act of observing. This is not my America. I’m calling on you to defund ICE by opposing any appropriations bill that maintains ICE funding and supporting legislation that claws back the $75 billion ICE slush fund created by H.R. 1 last year. This lawless agency is violently attacking and killing immigrants and citizens around the country and must be defunded and dissolved for good.
