As a citizen of South Carolina I am appalled to hear that the National Guard from SC has been sent to Washington DC. There is absolutely no need for this. There is nothing in DC that requires military support from our state. We have needs in our own state. We are in the midst of hurricane season where the services of our national guard may be imperative. This is a use of our troops to boost the authoritarian power of Donald Trump. There is no criminal emergency in DC. Stop this abuse of tax payer supported troops. Bring our troops back to South Carolina.
