Vote NO on book bans!

To: Rep. Wilson, Sen. Scott, Sen. Graham

From: A verified voter in North Augusta, SC

May 28

Stop trying to ban books at the national level. Books don’t hurt kids. Guns hurt kids, and you seem pretty okay with them,so stop pretending like you are just trying to protect children. Allow professionals like librarians to work with parents, kids, and teachers to find the best books for each. Parents should and do have control over the book their children check out at their public libraries. If they want to speak to the school librarian, they can make sure their child isn't bringing home books they are not okay with. You can't have democracy and freedom in a country that bans books based off of religious or political ideology. Vote NO on HB8705 and HB 7661. Vote NO on 2616 that just passed the house.
