No children in detention centers

To: Rep. McClain Delaney, Sen. Van Hollen, Sen. Alsobrooks

From: A verified voter in Braddock Heights, MD

February 23

I am deeply worried about the human rights abuses happening at Dilley Immigration Processing Center, and in particular about the newborn baby girl born February 21. Both the measles and RSV have been confirmed at Dilley. It is not a safe place for any child, let alone an infant. We know that they lied about the health condition of the two-month-old baby, Juan Nicholas, who was diagnosed with RSV after deportation to the US/Mexico border. The mom and infant who gave birth today must be freed into the U.S. immediately. The American Academy of Pediatrics has called for the shuttering of ICE detention centers for children, and you should too. Thanks
