CDC Must Protect Public Health
To: Sen. Warner, Sen. Kaine
From: A constituent in Reston, VA
September 18, 2025
As your constituent, I urge you to protect scientific integrity at the CDC following today’s congressional hearing.
The CDC’s effectiveness in protecting public health depends on evidence-based decision-making and qualified scientific leadership. I ask that you:
• Ensure CDC leadership positions require appropriate public health credentials
• Support the agency’s independence from political interference
• Maintain funding for rigorous scientific research and data collection
Our nation’s health security depends on the CDC’s ability to provide science-based guidance. Please stand up for evidence-based public health policy.
Thank you for your consideration.
