To All United States Senators and Representatives,
We the People are done asking politely for our humanity to be recognized.
We do not consent to concentration camps.
We do not consent to cages.
We do not consent to family separation.
We do not consent to a government that disappears people into systems of fear and cruelty.
We reject the violence carried out in our name.
Immigration and Customs Enforcement is not a public safety institution — it is a machinery of terror, trauma, and dehumanization. It has torn families apart, traumatized children, destabilized communities, and normalized cruelty as policy. This is not protection. This is not justice. This is not who we are supposed to be.
We demand the full abolition of ICE.
We demand the immediate shutdown of all detention facilities.
We demand the immediate release of those currently imprisoned.
We demand the full rescission and clawback of all funds already appropriated to ICE and related enforcement regimes, and the permanent defunding of these systems of harm.
Those resources belong in housing, healthcare, education, community safety, and real public services — not in cages, contracts, and cruelty.
Immigrants are not criminals.
They are caregivers.
They are workers.
They are children.
They are elders.
They are neighbors.
They are human beings.
A government that cages people seeking safety has lost its moral authority.
Your duty is not to enforcement agencies.
Your duty is not to fear politics.
Your duty is not to corporate detention profiteers.
Your duty is to human life.
Your duty is to dignity.
Your duty is to the people.
Choose justice.
Choose courage.
Choose humanity.
History will not be kind to silence.
