Reject Regressive "One Big Beautiful Bill Act"

To: Sen. Kim, Sen. Booker, Rep. Kean

From: A verified voter in Succasunna, NJ

July 1

The proposed One Big Beautiful Bill Act put forward by former President Trump and the Republican-controlled Congress poses grave risks to the well-being of millions of Americans. Its draconian cuts to vital social safety net programs like Medicaid, food assistance, and health care coverage for low-income families are unconscionable and will only serve to exacerbate poverty, hunger, and suffering. Furthermore, the legislation's massive tax cuts predominantly benefit the wealthy and corporations, while adding an estimated $650 billion to the deficit each year – a reckless fiscal policy that undermines economic stability and burdens future generations. This misguided legislation must be stopped. It fails to uphold the fundamental principle of governing for the people, instead catering to special interests and an ideological agenda at the expense of our most vulnerable citizens. A truly just and compassionate society ensures a robust social safety net and prioritizes the needs of its people over corporate profits and the whims of the wealthy elite. I implore you to vigorously oppose this legislation and fight for a more equitable, humane, and fiscally responsible path forward that upholds the dignity of all Americans and safeguards the common good. The One Big Beautiful Bill Act represents a moral and economic failure that must be rejected outright.
