Vote NO on the ICE budget
To: Sen. Budd, Sen. Tillis
From: A verified voter in Asheville, NC
January 24
Vote no on the proposed budget increase for ICE.
It is incomprehensible to spend this much money on ICE while millions of Americans rely on food stamps, the minimum wage remains stagnant, and basic needs like housing and healthcare go unmet. These priorities do not reflect the realities facing most people in this country.
ICE has repeatedly acted against our own communities, and expanding its budget only emboldens these actions. Passing this budget sends the message that aggressive enforcement is more important than supporting working families and vulnerable citizens.
If you have any conscience and sense of responsibility to the people you represent, please do not vote for this budget.
