For as long as I’ve been an investor of stocks, probably around 45 years or so, I have never seen a more blatant insider trading ploy than what we have just witnessed. President Trump has purposefully manipulated the market with his “tariff” rhetoric, first threatening huge tariffs, enacting them, and literally less than 48 hours later, rescinds certain tariffs after telling everyone “now is a great time to buy!” It’s so wrong and so disrupting to the entire U.S. and world economy. There are investors, both institutional and private, that have lost vast sums of worth because of Trump. Those losses may take years to regain their value. And for those who are retiring, planning estates, or simply living off their 401K returns, the pain is immense and devastating. Will you please band with other senators and representatives to investigate the insider trading frauds being committed, and do everything in your power to bring those to justice? Will you stand up for America’s working class investors?
