I am contacting you to urge you to work across the aisle to find a compromise agreement, and re-open the government. If you refuse to negotiate with the other side, all of the side effects from this shutdown are on you. And these side effects are hurting ordinary Montanans. Pulling federal money out of the economy hurts everyone, not just those receiving the payments or wages.
