Citizens across the state of Ohio are worried. We are afraid of what the presence of ICE will mean for innocent people in our communities. The government claims that ICE is only pursuing and arresting people that are in the U.S. illegally. They've proven time and time again that this is not true. Peaceful protestors and bystanders have been violently assaulted and intimidated by ICE agents. Legal citizens are being kidnapped and held without cause, often in inhumane conditions. The people of Ohio are concerned of what will happen if ICE is allowed to operate in our state unchecked. Protections for citizens MUST be put in place. ICE must follow all laws, state and federal. ICE cannot be allowed to act illegally, terrorizing and intimidating citizens.
