End gun violence NOW

To: Rep. Clyburn

From: A constituent in Charleston, SC

December 15, 2025

I’m writing to demand that Congress act on gun violence NOW. Americans deserve to live in a safe society. Australia saw a horrific mass shooting this weekend and their government is already in action, preparing a special session in which they will tighten their gun laws. In contrast, 46,000 people die from gun violence every year in our country and Congress keeps refusing to act. It’s unconscionable. We want 1) an assault weapons ban 2) universal background checks 3) safe storage laws. Finally, we want the office of Gun Violence Prevention, which Trump shut down in his first week in office, to be reopened immediately. Nothing less will do.
