According to BBC News, the Israel Defense Forces just murdered the entire team of Al Jazeera journalists reporting on the war in Gaza as a prelude to PM Netanyahu's full scale invasion of the occupied territory. Hopefully, I don't have to tell you that this is yet another violation of international law, another war crime, and an absolute moral and humanitarian travesty unfolding with the aid of Iowa's taxpayers. I'm begging you to speak out against these crimes and to work to halt all US military aid to Israel until a ceasefire can be reached. I fear that we're bearing witness to the starvation, displacement, and near extermination of the civilian population in Gaza and we need our elected representatives to work towards peace, not the continued funding of the war machine.
