As I am reading the news about the Senate attempting to pass their funding bill, I see that you are holding up the plan to separate out DHS funding. First, let me be clear. I support the Democrats' demands to end roving patrols, for agents to have to have a warrant and coordinate with local police, and for their to be a uniform code of conduct with independent oversight. I also agree with the demands that agents quit wearing masks and start wearing body cameras 100% of the time. And now I will address the fact that you want to add back in to the bill the ability to sue the government for half a million dollars for accessing information about phone calls made pertaining to the 2020 elections. This is clearly self serving and appears to be you going for a shameless money grab that would be funded by tax payers dollars. Shame on you. You know very well that the talking points about being wired tapped are bogus and dont hold legal water. The content of calls was not accessed. The phone record information that was accessed was legally obtained and happened during the course of a legal investigation. If you are unhappy that your name popped up during this investigation than you have no one to blame but yourself. You backed a losing horse when you supported Trumps attempt to overturn the 2020 elections, and in doing so, you also betrayed your oath of office and the people you represent. I want you to immediately stop pushing to have this right to sue added back into the funding bill. Please get back to work doing your actual job. ICE tactics have become overwhelmingly unpopular, even with Republicans. Get to work with your colleagues to make a framework for reigning them in.
