Thank you for co-sponsoring H. Res. 1058, recognizing the need for the federal government to implement a Transgender Bill of Rights. Trans and nonbinary people are under constant attack at all levels of government, as social conservatives try to restrict our freedom of movement, our access to lifesaving medical care, and our ability to live publicly as our authentic selves. Too often Democrats have been mealy mouthed about trans rights and quick to throw us under the bus in pursuit of conservative voters. It is essential that Democrats going into the 2026 election present a unified and unapologetic defense of the rights and dignity of trans people. Thank you for your help in making this happen.
