By ensuring the continuation of SNAP benefits, we can prevent a widespread hunger crisis and support the economic stability of low-income households. I ask that you work diligently with your colleagues to find a sustainable solution for funding SNAP. This should include exploring all available options to supplement the contingency funds and prevent any interruption in benefit distribution. Additionally, I urge you to push for a swift resolution to the government shutdown to ensure long-term stability for essential programs like SNAP. Time is of the essence.
