Vote no on SAVE Act

To: Sen. Alsobrooks, Sen. Van Hollen

From: A constituent in Forest Hill, MD

March 31, 2025

Stop the dangerous SAVE Act — a bill that threatens to block millions of eligible Americans from registering and voting. This harmful legislation would force voters to present strict proof of citizenship, like a passport or birth certificate, just to register or update their voter information. That means millions of Americans — especially working-class families, seniors, women who’ve changed their names, and those who’ve lost documents in natural disasters — could be denied their fundamental right to vote. The SAVE Act isn’t about election security — it’s about voter suppression. It puts up needless roadblocks that silence voices and weaken our democracy. Our democracy works best when everyone can participate.
VOTE NO on the SAVE ACT.
