I’m sure you have seen the headline: “Pentagon will livestream first military firing squad execution since World War II. It would be the first US military execution by firing squad since 1945 and the first to be publicly broadcast. The last public execution in the US took place in 1936, when about 20,000 people gathered in Kentucky to witness the hanging of a Black man convicted of raping an elderly white woman.” What kind of depravity makes republicans think this is okay?
