ICE agents are out of control! How did David Brrouillette get hired by ICE with his background? Clearly ICE is not using background checks or doing due diligence when hiring future agents. The U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement officer, David Brouillette, allegedly fatally shot a Colombian man in Maine on Monday. According to 2 ex-wives, a daughter, and ex-best friend, David was prone to physical and verbal violence, held racist beliefs, and has been diagnosed with bipolar disorder and borderline schizophrenia. He shot a man 4 times through a car window. The man that was killed was in the US legally on a work permit and had done nothing wrong. ICE was conducting an operation and said that this man was not the person they had an arrest warrant for. This killing is the direct result of allowing agents to go after people based off of their looks, racial identity, accent, and language they speak. It is also the result of poor hiring and training practices by ICE. ICE must be stopped! When will it be enough for the Republican dominated Congress to act and retire reforms of this agency? Is this really who we want to be as a nation? Are you okay with masked men killing people in the streets, and dragging people into white vans, and putting them in concentration camp just for the way they look or the country they originate from? What happened to the Constitutional right of due process? You betray our country when you ignore our Constitution and our laws just to cling to your personal or political ideology. Shame on every Republican that supported additional funding for ICE and CBP without requiring a single reform. You didn't even ask for the most basic reforms, such as demanding agents follow existing laws and respect individuals Conal rights. In light of the two recent ICE killings, ICE said they would suspend conducting vehicles stops. Trump immediately demanded a reversal of the order.
