Block Russell Vought’s OMB nomination — We are not in business-as-usual times

To: Sen. Klobuchar, Sen. Smith

From: A verified voter in Minneapolis, MN

February 3, 2025

As your constituent, I write asking you to stop treating the actions if the Trump administration as business as usual. We are not in business as usual times. Ordinary Americans need you to step up and obstruct the confirmation of Russell Vought to head the Office of Business and Management. He co-authored Project 2025. He will dismantle funding to services like Meals on Wheels, Head Start, and Medicaid, among many others, which will harm seniors, pre-schoolers and families, people with disabilities, people making low incomes, and millions of people who cannot afford life saving medical care without Medicaid. This dismantling will be done to give a tax cut to the ultra wealthy, pushing us further into leadership by oligarchy. Our democracy is literally at stake. Business as usual cannot be how the Democrats or Republicans operate in the Senate. Please use every procedural tool in your arsenal to obstruct and deny Russell Vought’s OMB nomination. I never thought I’d say this, but please be even worse than Mitch McConnell. As your constituent, I support you in standing up, loudly and forcefully, in every procedural way, to blocking Trump’s agenda and nominees like Russell Vought.
