I am extremely concerned about the people surrounding and influencing the current POTUS, especially in matters relating to bigotry, specifically in regards to the Black community in this country. A President of the United States must believe all people to be equal, and must ensure the fair and equitable treatment of every person. This should be a core belief of every politician who serves in our government. We have a diverse society, and every human’s dignity and worth must be valued. I am writing to ask you to denounce the views of Laura Loomer, specifically, who just posted a racist rant denigrating several Black female members of Congress and Supreme Court Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson. Loomer, and people with views like hers, should not have such close ties with Donald Trump. Please do what you can to help heal the centuries of oppression of people of color in the United States. Ignoring the deep sickness only allows it to grow more divisive.
