Stop wasting time attacking programs that support our children and start focusing on actually serving the communities that need you. Senate Bill 227 is a disgraceful attempt to dismantle the very resources that ensure every child—especially those most vulnerable—has access to the support they need to survive and thrive.
As a parent of children with special needs, I am literally depending on these services to keep my kids alive. DEI programs in our schools are not about politics; they are about ensuring that students of all backgrounds, abilities, and circumstances have the opportunity to succeed. Eliminating these initiatives doesn’t promote fairness—it abandons the very children who need the most help.
I beg you not to be complicit in turning your back on your constituents who need you the most. While you waste time attacking DEI, families like mine are struggling to get the support our children require. If you want to serve the people, start by fighting for better funding for special education, increasing access to mental health resources, and strengthening the services that make a real difference in our children’s lives.
Oppose SB 227. Focus on real issues, not political stunts. Our children’s lives depend on it.
