Reject tax reform favoring wealthy over working families

The current form of the One Big Beautiful Bill Act runs counter to addressing income inequality and appears to significantly widen the gap between the wealthy and those struggling financially. While provisions like extending the Trump tax cuts and increasing the SALT deduction cap primarily benefit high-income individuals and corporations, the bill makes deep cuts to vital social safety net programs like Medicaid and SNAP that millions of low-income Americans rely on. This lopsided approach favoring the affluent over working families and the disadvantaged will only worsen economic disparities. I urge you to reconsider supporting legislation that so disproportionately advantages the wealthy at the expense of those already facing financial hardship. True tax reform should aim to create a more equitable system and lift up all Americans, not just the privileged few. I implore you to prioritize policies that will help narrow, not exacerbate, our nation's destructive levels of income inequality.
