With all due respect, Senator, what the f##k? After 40 days of shutdown in a principled stand for affordable healthcare for all Americans you and seven other Senators bowed to the Republican Party and... for what? For a promise that the Senate would vote on ACA subsidies? Really? While I am shocked that you consider your Republican colleagues trustworthy at this point, the failure to secure at the VERY least, an assurance of a vote from the House is unbelievable. And, oh look, Republicans are demanding abortion restrictions in exchange for their vote. Who could POSSIBLY have predicted that they would stab you in the back? My 5th grader is a more effective negotiator than that. I get it. The shutdown is hard and the Trump administration is making it harder. They don't need to withhold SNAP funds, shut down 10% of air traffic, or threaten to fire/not-pay government workers. You're being asked to enter the ring in a bare-knuckled brawl but unfortunately, it seems like you showed ready to play Candyland. Senator, I've voted for you since you ran for Lt Governor. I've never regretted that until now.
