With the heads of various AI companies suddenly wringing their hands about the need to slow down their own tech, I would just like to remind you: There is absolutely no reason for these people to get a government bailout, ever. They are not too big to fail. They are not necessary to the functioning of our nation or it economy. We did just fine without them until four years ago. In fact, we did much better without them. The very best thing we could do now is let them fail. They contribute nothing of worth to our world, and they extract so much. Do not give them taxpayer money. Do not fold them into national security or anything else. They do not deserve it. And we do not need it, or them.
