Protect transgender Ohioans from Trump's cruel attacks on our population.

I am writing as your constituent to express my outrage at the administration’s continued attacks on transgender people, including the new anti-trans provisions announced recently.
These proposals are cruel, unnecessary, and dangerous. Transgender people live in every community in this country, including right here in Ohio. They are our neighbors, coworkers, veterans, teachers, parents, and children. They deserve dignity, equality, and safety, not to be singled out as political targets.
Rolling back protections, banning health care, and treating trans people as disposable is inhumane and a betrayal of American values of fairness and freedom. Denying evidence-based care and eroding civil rights protections will increase discrimination, worsen health outcomes, and push some of our most vulnerable young people toward self-harm and suicide.
We do not throw trans people under the bus. And we will not tolerate anti-trans policies being quietly slipped into must-pass bills as bargaining chips to avoid a shutdown. Using trans lives as political leverage is shameful and unacceptable.
I urge you to speak out clearly against these provisions, block any legislative attempts to implement them, and work proactively to protect the rights of transgender people nationwide. Please make it clear that Ohio’s representatives will not stand by while our trans neighbors are attacked for political gain.
