I'm calling on you to begin impeachment proceedings against President Trump immediately. Three major democracy watchdog organizations released reports in March 2025 documenting his systematic dismantling of American democratic institutions. The V-Dem Institute dropped the U.S. democracy ranking from 20th to 51st out of 179 countries, placing us between Slovakia and Greece. Their founding director stated that "the developments in the United States are moving towards dictatorship" and called it "the most rapid decline ever in the history of the United States." Trump has rolled back democracy as much in one year as it took Modi in India and Erdogan in Turkey 10 years to accomplish. Bright Line Watch's survey of over 500 U.S. scholars concluded that our system now falls nearly midway between liberal democracy and dictatorship. The evidence is clear: concentrating executive power, overstepping laws, circumventing Congress, and attacking press freedom. These are the actions of an autocrat, not a president. Trump himself has said "A lot of people are saying maybe we like a dictator." We don't. Impeachment is the constitutional remedy for a president who threatens our republic. Use it.
