CBS reported yesterday that the Trump administration is quietly seeking unprecedented access to medical records for millions of federal workers and retirees, and their families. I never heard about this and regulations.gov says the comment period on this (OPM Docket 2025-0206) closed on February 10. This is surely a HIPAA violation, isn’t it? I assume that you are covered by FEHB, too, so I expect you have concerns. Please look into this, do what you can, and advise constituents like me of what we need to do to protect our rights to health privacy.
