Can we be smart enough to stop our own demise? We need you!

I’m deeply alarmed by the growing claims from EXPERTS that unchecked AI models could destroy the world—and humanity— by the decade’s end (https://substack.com/redirect/13ea32ab-d95f-43d8-942d-c8ae6e1190a9?j=eyJ1IjoiNm1seXYifQ.otOmJiKbuVjJchpYlNRHfEdUeScpGrrwie9zwfsSQuI). This is an emergency. Congress needs to act with urgency. Americans are sick and tired of watching lawmakers focus on the wrong things while this existential threat gets bigger and bigger. We need serious guardrails around AI, a data center moratorium, a Kill Switch bill, and more. Bernie Sanders has a proposal (https://substack.com/redirect/b4e2b8c5-11ab-4463-bbd9-5192f6b3d9e3?j=eyJ1IjoiNm1seXYifQ.otOmJiKbuVjJchpYlNRHfEdUeScpGrrwie9zwfsSQuI) that would ban AI superintelligence. Pass that, too! Most of all we need lawmakers with the courage and independence to stand up to big tech and act—NOW. Please be one. There’s no time to waste. Thanks.
