Demand Full Release of Epstein Files Including Internal DoJ Memos

The Department of Justice claims it has released all files required by the Epstein Files Transparency Act, but this assertion contradicts the law's clear requirements. Attorney General Pam Bondi and Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche sent a letter to Congress stating all documents have been released, yet they are withholding internal memos that detail past decisions on whether to charge Jeffrey Epstein and his associates.
Representative Thomas Massie, who co-wrote the Epstein Files Transparency Act with Representative Ro Khanna, has exposed that the DoJ is using "deliberative process privilege" to avoid releasing crucial documents. The legislation specifically requires the release of "internal memos and notes and emails about their decisions on whether to prosecute or not prosecute, whether to investigate or not investigate." The DoJ cannot claim compliance while simultaneously refusing to release the exact documents the law mandates.
The DoJ's recent actions further undermine public trust. They released a list mixing high-profile individuals with documented Epstein connections alongside deceased musicians like Janis Joplin, who died when Epstein was 17, and Larry Nassar without clarifying the context of their mentions. Representative Khanna rightly criticized this approach as "purposefully muddying the waters on who was a predator and who was mentioned in an email." Additionally, the DoJ has already been caught improperly redacting files and accidentally releasing email addresses and nude photos that could identify victims, errors they attributed to "technical or human error."
I urge you to demand that Attorney General Bondi immediately release all internal DoJ memos, notes, and emails regarding prosecution and investigation decisions related to Jeffrey Epstein and his associates, as the Epstein Files Transparency Act requires. The American people deserve transparency about why powerful individuals may have escaped accountability. Release the full files with only survivor names redacted, and stop protecting predators.
