I am writing as your constituent from 07306 to urge you to support Senator Bernie Sanders’ proposed legislation addressing billionaire wealth taxation. At a time when working families are managing rising housing, childcare, healthcare, and education costs, it is deeply concerning that extreme wealth concentration continues to grow unchecked. A small number of individuals now hold more wealth than millions of Americans combined, often benefiting from tax structures that allow significant unrealized gains to go untaxed for years or even decades. This bill represents an important step toward restoring fairness in our tax system. It is not about punishing success. It is about ensuring that those who have benefited most from our economy contribute proportionately to the systems and infrastructure that made that success possible. Revenue generated from a billionaire wealth tax could strengthen Social Security, invest in childcare and public education, support healthcare access, reduce the deficit, and ease the financial burden on middle-class families. I ask you to publicly support and vote in favor of this legislation. Economic fairness and democratic stability depend on addressing extreme wealth inequality in meaningful ways.
