Thank you first of all for taking Senator Caroline Menjivar as your guest to Trump’s address to Congress tonight, per the Daily News. Democrat voters like myself are looking for just such leadership now more than ever. In this spirit, and with complete seriousness, I ask you to do everything in your power to precipitate a new leadership race in the House and elect Representative Al Green as Minority Leader. I know Leader Jeffries does more than a lot of people think. I liked what I saw at the budget vote rally last week on the Capitol steps. But with all due respect, he still seems to think America wants nice and calm, when in fact his party are dying for a leader to tell them the revolution will be televised. Representative Green did just that tonight. He has seniority and knows what to do with it. He is even now preparing articles of impeachment, as is more than necessary now that Trump has repeated the impoundment of aid to Ukraine that led to his impeachment during his first term. President Biden, Justice Ginsberg, and most recently Representative Connolly could not bring themselves to do what needed to be done to prevent our current crisis - step aside when their time was up. I appreciate what Leader Jeffries has done and am sorry for the bad rap he gets - but Rep. Green is the kind of hero we need right now.
