An Open Letter

To: Sen. Budd, Sen. Tillis

From: A constituent in Raleigh, NC

March 6

Please remind Pete Hegseth that Trump's unjustified war with Iran is not a video game. Please remind him that innocent people have and will continue to die. We already know that the United States is responsible for the deaths of over 100 school girls. Remind Pete Hegseth as he speaks that his excitement for fighting and shooting affects real people. Remind Pete Hegseth and Mr. Trump that the American people overwhelmingly do not support Trump's war with Iran. Gas prices have increased, members of our armed forces died in friendly fire, innocent Iranians have died, and Americans living in the Middle East were stranded and unable to evacuate and the U.S. did not help them. War is not a game. Hegseth with his "Ted Talks" needs to realize that this is real life. He is in so far over his head, unqualified for his job, and incompetent and he is making the Department of JUSTICE look like a joke. And we, innocent people in America and Iran, are paying the price. Senators, we have a Constitution for a reason. You have chosen not to follow our Constitution and you have given free rein to a war hungry man child in Hegseth and a demented madman in Trump. The Republicans will be blamed throughout history for Trump's war. Hegseth is not the military hero he thinks he is. And Trump looks like an insane old man who has lost all control of his mental faculties - because he has. He wanted war to deflect from the Epstein files. And you are supporting this. You will be blamed.
