Protect Alaskans’ Constitutional Right to Privacy – Stop Warrantless ICE Cooperation We, the undersigned Alaskans, call on Governor Dunleavy to immediately uphold Article I, Section 22 of the Alaska Constitution and stop the warrantless use of state resources in federal immigration enforcement. The Alaska Constitution guarantees: “The right of the people to privacy is recognized and shall not be infringed.” Yet under your administration, reports have emerged that federal agencies — including ICE, FBI, and the DEA — are carrying out immigration raids, arrests, and detentions in Alaska with the support of state law enforcement and data systems, often without warrants, due process, or public oversight. This not only endangers the rights of noncitizens — it violates the rights of all Alaskans, erodes trust in public institutions, and expands federal overreach on state soil. WE DEMAND: 1. A public declaration from the Governor’s and Attorney General’s Office affirming that Alaska will not aid federal immigration enforcement without valid court-issued warrants. 2. An executive order prohibiting Alaska state agencies and law enforcement from sharing data or providing support to ICE or DHS unless constitutionally required. 3. Full transparency and audit of current data-sharing practices, MOUs, or contracts with federal enforcement agencies. 4. Protection of Alaskans’ privacy, civil liberties, and public trust — regardless of immigration status. 5. Legislative oversight hearings to ensure compliance with Alaska’s Constitution and protect vulnerable communities from targeted enforcement. 6. Full public disclosure of any agreements, memorandums of understanding (MOUs), or contracts that authorize information sharing or operational support with ICE, DHS, or similar agencies. Alaska guarantees every person the right to privacy. That means state agencies should not share business records, assist with detentions, or support federal raids unless required by law. Anything else violates both the spirit and letter of our constitution. The Attorney General must ensure due process and transparency. No one should be detained, surveilled, or deported using state resources without oversight or public accountability. I urge you to take immediate action to protect all people on Alaskan soil — regardless of immigration status — from unconstitutional enforcement practices. We demand a public explanation, legal review, and safeguards that reaffirm Alaska’s sovereignty and values.
