I am extremely concerned that the Trump regime continues it's war on immigrants in our country. Yesterday I read about a woman who was detained by ICE at her annual check-in, which she has been doing for over 10 years. She has a valid work permit and young children, but is incarcerated awaiting deportation. This morning I read in The Intercept that "The U.S. has reportedly explored, sought, or struck deals with at least 19 countries: Angola, Benin, Costa Rica, El Salvador, Eswatini, Equatorial Guinea, Guatemala, Guyana, Honduras, Kosovo, Libya, Mexico, Moldova, Mongolia, Panama, Rwanda, Saudi Arabia, Ukraine, and Uzbekistan." These developments are truly frightening and I am asking Congress for legislation to stop this illegal terror campaign and assure compliance with Judiciary findings. Proper due process is the minimum that must be in place; there should be a system where individual warrants are required to detain people because they have broken the law. No one in America should be detained without cause; and to be deported to a foreign country is criminal on our part. We must also Stop ICE QUOTAS that promote this unlawful excess on the part of their staff. ICE is not stopping terrorists - they are the terrorists! Please do what can be done to stop this campaign of American terrorism! Thank you.
