No on HJ Res 122 and HR 7109

To: Rep. Crane

From: A constituent in Flagstaff, AZ

May 9

I am a constituent in 86005. I am writing about two important issues to me. You ane your Republican colleagues are trying to roll back the Biden Administration’s new rule capping credit cards late fees at $8. This rule will save ordinary folks like me ten billion dollars a year! Now that I am retired and on Social Security, every dollar is important. Paying large late fees can be a disaster for me. Any Member of Congress blocking this rule doesn’t care about me, and I’ll remember it at the ballot box. Please vote NO on H.J. Res. 122. Also, please oppose HR 7109, another bill backed by you and your Republican colleagues that would require the Census Bureau to ask questions about citizenship on the census. These questions are intrusive, irrelevant, and will undermine the census count in every state and community—creating an environment of fear for immigrant and mixed-status families. We are all Americans. Please vote no on this bill. Thanks.
