Support H.Con.Res. 38 to Prevent Unauthorized War with Iran

I am writing to urge you to support H.Con.Res. 38, a bipartisan war powers resolution, to prevent further U.S. military involvement in the escalating conflict between Israel and Iran without explicit congressional authorization.
I am deeply alarmed by the rapid escalation of military conflict between Israel and Iran. The rhetoric and actions of President Trump, including shifting military assets to the region, are dangerously raising tensions and increasing the risk of a wider war. The situation bears troubling parallels to the lead-up to the 2003 Iraq War.
Congress must reassert its constitutional authority over matters of war and peace. Supporting H.Con.Res. 38 is crucial to preventing unilateral executive action that could entangle the U.S. in an unnecessary, costly, and destabilizing new war. The American people have no interest in sending service members to fight another forever war in the Middle East.
I urge you to uphold Congress's war powers responsibilities and block unauthorized hostilities against Iran by supporting H.Con.Res. 38.
