I am writing to ask you to support the discharge petition being introduced by Rep. Gregory Meeks. Congress must end the phony “national emergency” that has allowed Trump to recklessly impose massive tariffs that are wrecking the economy. Speaker Johnson has taken the cowardly step of changing the House rules to avoid a vote on this matter, so a discharge petition is the only way for Congress to reassert its authority and stop Trump’s one-man assault on the global economic system.
