Data Centers in Nevada

To: Sen. Lange, Gov. Lombardo, Assembly Member Considine

From: A constituent in Las Vegas, NV

August 28

Dear staff member. Thank you for reading my message. Please pass along my concerns and opinion to my state legislators and the governor. As a Nevadan, I am very, very, troubled and concerned about the continuing explosion of data centers in my state. I fully support Senator D. Neal's legislation on their future in our state. Data centers are a necessary evil. However, if Nevada is going to host these environmental catastrophes, they must pay a tax for their destruction of BLM lands. The required infrastructure alone is enourmously expensive, I'm not paying for it, and our water crisis alone encourages severe regulation. Thank you. Please keep us in mind before giving away our most precious and scarce water and energy. Respectfully,
