Vote against misguided "One Big Beautiful Bill Act"

To: Sen. Cotton, Sen. Boozman, Rep. Crawford

From: A constituent in Ward, AR

July 2, 2025

The current administration's proposed "One Big Beautiful Bill Act" contains deeply concerning provisions that will be detrimental to millions of Americans. The draconian cuts to Medicaid and food stamps threaten to leave vulnerable populations without access to essential health care and nutrition assistance. Furthermore, the bill's rollback of green energy tax credits jeopardizes critical investments in renewable energy sources at a time when climate change demands urgent action. While purporting to provide tax relief, the $4.5 trillion in tax cuts disproportionately benefit corporations and the wealthy instead of working families. The projected $3.3 trillion increase to the deficit over the next decade is fiscally irresponsible and will saddle future generations with unsustainable debt levels. For these reasons, I urge you to vote against this misguided legislation. Protecting the well-being of all constituents, safeguarding our environment, and maintaining fiscal responsibility should be priorities. The American people deserve better than this deeply flawed bill that sacrifices their interests for the benefit of a select few.
