I’m writing to you as an Arizonan who still believes in the promise of this country—and this state.
Lately, I hear a lot about balancing budgets and cutting costs. But I worry we’re focused more on numbers than on the people those numbers are supposed to serve. What good is a surplus if our freedoms are shrinking, if children are traumatized by enforcement practices, and if rights are quietly eroded?
Where are you when it feels like Arizona is being bound by fear and silence? I ask because your voice matters—not just in committees or caucuses, but out in the open, where the people can hear you. This is not the time for caution or quiet diplomacy—it’s a time for bold, public stands. We need leaders who are not just present, but unafraid to raise their voices loud enough to be heard above the noise.
Our values—freedom, fairness, justice—run deeper than party lines or profit margins. And when those values are threatened, it’s not just our right but our duty to speak up.
It’s not unpatriotic to call out harm. It’s responsible citizenship.
So I ask you: will you speak loudly and clearly for what truly makes Arizona strong—not just with promises, but with visible, vocal action?
With hope and expectation.
